We work for responsible pet owners.
Donations are essential to maintain our vital services. Membership fees assist the organisation in our lobbying efforts as one paid up member counts for 100 votes. We are deliberately keeping the cost of membership low - starting at just $40.

You can Donate Online securely by credit card. We accept Visa and Mastercard. This registration form will take you to the secure bank site via a confirmation email sent to you after you complete the form.
Barking Mad is not-for-profit. We are a community-based organisation that works nationally. We rely on donations to maintain our ability to provide access to community resources for responsible pet owners and bring an end to silly dog or housing laws that restrict responsible owners. Many of these poorly thought out pet laws actually result in more pets being surrendered or not properly exercised.
Your donation will:
- FUND lobbying to get sensible laws regarding companion animals
- HELP raise the profile and benefits of the pet in and to our society.
- CONTRIBUTE to ending the discrimination of pet owners especially the elderly, in unit or rented accommodation
- SUPPORT environmental objectives by ensuring the right to public transport for responsible pet owners
- ASSIST the operation of our state offices
- NOT fund our legal team or court challenges (unless you contribute to the fighting fund or make a donation to a specific court case).
- PROVIDE community education on animal access issues and education on the communities' expectation of pet owners.
- FINANCE one full time and three part time salaries (only after all the above expenses are met)
Sponsorship - $

$2,800 will fund the email and database services for one year.

$100 a month will cover postage costs

$400 a month will cover internet and phone costs

$4,000 pays the legal costs for one day to challenge a discrimination case

$500 a month will fund our informative and popular web site and provide a stipend for a web editor.

$200 a month will provide a stipend for a legal researcher
-
$65,000 a year will provide a wage for one full-time lobbyist.

$2,500 will provide food, medical and grooming for our mascot Pema for one year.

$10,000 will fund the work to claim our right to the domain barkingmad dot com dot au.
Sponsorship - in kind

PR and Communications: Get our press releases out and manage the media. Form alliances with pet industry associations and vets.

Advertising: Design and fund advertising where we have active campaigns.

Office Administration: Work in our beach-side pet-friendly NSW office and get the files off the floor and into the cabinet.

Legals. Do well by doing good; knowledge of discrimination, crown land, local government, constitutional, planning and criminal matters.
